Information and terminology
Cookies are small files that websites, online shops, intranets, online platforms or similar store in the user’s browser and are necessary to enable web browsing and support the provision of interactive services.
The following information on the possible types of cookies helps to better understand their functions:
Types of cookies according to their duration
Session cookies: these are temporary cookies that remain in your device's cookie space until the session ends, so none is stored on the user's disk. The information obtained through these cookies is used to enable operational management with each of the users who are accessing the website simultaneously.
Persistent cookies: these are cookies that remain stored in your device's cookie space once the session has ended, and which the website will consult again the next time you access it, to remember information that makes browsing easier (accessing the service directly without having to log in) or the provision of a commercial service (offering products or services related to previous visits). By default, unless another value is specified, the duration of these cookies on this site or domain will be 2 years.
Types of cookies based on the managing entity
First-party cookies: these are cookies generated by the website or domain being visited.
Third-party cookies: these are cookies received while browsing that website or domain, but which have been generated by a third-party service managed by another entity that processes the data obtained for its own purposes. An example may be improving the services it provides or providing advertising services on behalf of other entities.
Types of cookies according to their purpose of use
Technical or functional purposes: these are also called "strictly necessary". They allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and to use the different options or services available on it, such as controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted areas, remembering the items that make up an order, completing the purchase process for an order, submitting a registration request or participation in an event, using security features during browsing, storing content for the broadcasting of video or audio, or sharing content through social networks. Technical cookies are exempt from the obligations set out in article 22.2 of the LSSI when they enable the service requested by the user to be provided.
Security: these are a type of technical cookie that play a crucial role in the security of web applications. They help prevent certain attacks and protect the integrity of the user's session. Technical (security) cookies are exempt from the obligations set out in article 22.2 of the LSSI when they enable the service requested by the user to be provided.
Preferences or personalisation: these make it possible for each user to configure aspects such as the language in which they wish to view the website, display formats, etc. If it is the user who chooses these characteristics, the cookies are exempt from the obligations of article 22.2 of the LSSI, being considered a service expressly requested by the user, provided that the cookies serve exclusively the selected purpose.
Analysis or performance: these make it possible to measure the number of visits and browsing criteria across different areas of the website, application or platform, and allow us to build browsing profiles of the users of those sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data collected from service users.
Advertising and behavioural advertising: these make it possible to implement efficiency parameters in the advertising offered on websites, based on information about user behaviour obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which makes it possible to develop a specific profile in order to display advertising accordingly.
Details of cookies used
This website is static: it does not use a content management system (CMS) or server session cookies (there is therefore no PHPSESSID-type cookie). The cookies that may be installed come from analytics services and embedded third-party content, and are loaded through Google Tag Manager. Specifically:
| Cookie | Type | Duration | Purpose | Ownership |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| gj_consent | Technical (first-party) | 6 months | Stores your choice about cookies (accept or reject) so as not to ask again on every visit. | First-party |
| Metricool cookies | Analysis | Session / persistent | Audience measurement and analytics by Metricool. | Third party (Metricool) |
| NID / CONSENT / SOCS | Preferences | Up to 2 years | Operation of the embedded map (only on "Contact"). | Third party (Google Maps) |
| Sesame cookies | Technical | Session | Operation of the embedded jobs portal (only on "Careers"). | Third party (Sesame Time) |
Google Tag Manager does not itself install cookies: it acts only as a manager that loads the tags above. The typefaces are hosted locally on our servers: no external requests are made to Google Fonts. The embedded Vimeo video uses private mode (Do Not Track), so Vimeo does not set cookies. The exact names and durations of third-party cookies are determined by each provider and may vary.
Third-party services
The third-party services that may install cookies through this site (loaded via Google Tag Manager or as embedded content) manage data according to their own privacy policies, which you can consult here:
- Google (Tag Manager and Maps): policies.google.com/privacy
- Metricool: metricool.com/es/privacy-policy
- Vimeo (embedded video, private mode without cookies): vimeo.com/privacy
- Sesame Time (jobs portal): sesametime.com/politica-de-privacidad
- LinkedIn: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy
Accepting, rejecting or managing cookie preferences
The first time you access the site, a cookie notice is shown. Analytics cookies are not loaded until you accept them; until you decide, or if you reject them, no analytics cookie is run. When presented with the notice you can:
- Accept: site analytics is activated.
- Reject: no analytics cookie is loaded. The website continues to work normally.
Your choice is stored in the technical cookie gj_consent. You can change it at any time from the "Cookie settings" link available in the footer.
The embedded content (the Google map on "Contact" and the Sesame jobs portal on "Careers") is loaded as content requested by you when you visit those pages and may install its own third-party cookies. The Vimeo video on "Activity & History" loads in private mode and does not set cookies.
